Wednesday - Back to work, Nick drove me to work, taxi home
Thursday - Nick drove me to work, taxi home
Friday - I drove me to work vowing never to take stinky, smelly taxi ever again!
Saturday & Sunday - Usual routine
Monday - Wore shoes to work, 2 of them! No more slippers to work.
Not bad. I just wonder how many brain cells were slaughtered last Monday....
About Me

- I was born in the late 50's. I grew up with both my Mom and Dad. I am the oldest of three daughters. My one sister is 1 1/2 years younger than me. She was so wild she made me look like an angel. My youngest sister is 6 years younger than me and always the most spoiled. I got married when I was 22 and had two beautiful sons by the time I was 28. I began working in the 'family' business in 1990 and have absolutely loved every single minute. Unfortunately I became a single parent when the kids were 10 and 12. I was lucky to have shared 9 years with a man I considered to be my best friend. All of these things have shaped the person I am today. Some experiences have been thrilling, others have been brutally terrifying. We are all shaped and molded by our experiences. I can honestly say that 2004 - 2007 has forever changed who I am. I am still trying to figure out where to go from here.

Hi Kim- I got your email today. Yes, I did have a LisFranc Fracture. There was a 3 hour surgery on October 9. 4 screws. I am supposed to have the screws removed in 4 months.

Kim - I may have missed this, but was just wondering. How long after your first surgery did you return to work? I see your first surgery was Nov. 2007. My surgery was October 9 and I was cleared to go back to work November 4. I went for two days and was so exhausted that I had to take the third day off! Also, even though the wheelchair has a way to elevate my leg, it isn't as high as I am used to so by the afternoon my foot hurts so much.
It was discouraging to see that 90% of your shoes no longer fit :( I wondered about that.
Brain cells, phpht! I remember a certain day in Florida, about 11 years ago...more brain cells lost in that day that a bottle of percs could damage! LOL
